"What’s not to love about this dish, creamy potato & leeks, baked until soft and comforting. Mum used to call them scalloped potatoes, I remember them being cooked in the microwave in a plastic cake ring, back when microwaves were the new fandangle thing. Although oven-baked is better, it still doesn’t change the memory of that creamy potato & leek goodness."

Shipping and Delivery

How is Meal Box delivered?

Our packs are delivered in a reusable cardboard box, packed with biodegradable Woolcool to keep the contents chilled (and plenty of care!). If you're interested in our recycling efforts, you can read more on our blog. We work closely with New Zealand Post and offer a premium nationwide delivery to individual addresses, or in bulk to one address.

How do subscriptions work?

Just add how many meals you are after and add to the cart. We will ask you about the frequency of your deliveries and then your all set! Payments are processed before each delivery is dispatched. Remember that you can make changes to your upcoming order each week. You will receive weekly emails notifying you about the cut off times for changes.

What happens if I'm not home when my Meal Box delivery arrives?

All orders will be left in a safe cool place between the hours of 10am and 5pm. If you have any special delivery instructions please let us know.

Preparation and Heating

What is the best way to prepare Meal Box for eating?

You’ll find cooking and reheating instructions on the packaging of all our meals. All of our meals are already cooked and simply require being reheated – either from frozen or once defrosted – and this can be done either in the microwave or oven. Depending on the strength of your microwave, it may take between 2–5 minutes to reheat a meal.

How is Meal Box made and what ingredients do you use?

Every Meal Box is made in a commercial kitchen with highest food standards and only using fresh and locally sourced ingredients.

How long will my Meal Box stay fresh?

Keep your meals in the freezer and can be stored to the best before date on the packaging. Once thawed meals will need to be eaten within 4 days.

Lovely taste

Received my order, still chilled no thanks to NZ post who delivered to wrong address. The taste was lovely but couldn’t find any leeks, must have been there but no luck finding them.
